This juicy Merlot has soft tannin with a hint of vanillin oak. Wyndham Hill Smith found Oxford Landing in 1958 on the banks of the River Murray, South Australia. The winery has matured into one of Australia's most innovative viticultural estates, delivering flavours that reflects the unique vineyard terroir. Oxford Landing vineyard near the South Australian town of Waikerie is an idyllic place, distinguished by clear blue skies, rich red soil and sunshine - the perfect environment for growing grapes. The grapes are from select fruit parcels on the Oxford Landing block. Warm fermentation allows the best extraction of fruit flavours and tannins for this style of wine. This is a bright and friendly wine that is also very affordable... light to medium-bodied, with vibrant raspberry fruit flavours, nice, fresh acidity and soft tannins..
