The re-launch of one of Immingham’s most popular convenience stores also saw a cheque for £700 handed over to the town’s football club.

The money was raised as part of the celebrations to mark the completion of a major internal re-fit and new-look to the Today’s Local in Waterworks Street. Our photograph shows Dudley Ramsden, of the Grimsby-based Ramden Group of Companies, handing the cheque to the club’s first team manager Dave Wilson.

Also in the picture are Nick Ramsden, managing director of the Ramsden Group, and Nathan Niroshan, business development manager at Dee Bee Wholesale.

Dee Bee Wholesale, a division of the Ramsden Group, is one of the area’s largest employers with a workforce of more than 200 and has a long history of supporting local sporting and community organisations.

Glenn Tanton, chairman of Immingham Town FC, said: “With the generous sponsorship from the Today’s group and Dee Bee, Immingham Town Football Club will continue to build and grow.

“We are very excited about the fast approaching new season and have been overwhelmed by the response from local businesses and on behalf of the players, managers and committee members, we would like to say thank you for that support.”
